The Avengers And Captain America (SLP-187) vinyl record + The Avengers #4 COMIC BOOK. As you may recall, this is the first silver age appearance of Captain America. PLEASE NOTE: This comic has not been professionally graded. These are my observations only.. Book has pages discolored from age, much wear around edges / corners including creasing, small tears, one quite noticeable along top edge of front cover.

Back cover is torn horizontally across middle. Many small tears to spine as well as along the bottom edge of many pages. Order slip on back page has circles in pencil. Center-most pages have come unconnected from lower staple.

Comic will come bagged and boarded in a 2 mil Mylar flap-back bag with 42 mil acid-free full back board. Record Grading is as follows. The Avengers And Captain America. Marvel Age Comic Spectaculars Series. Record reads The Avengers #4.

Vinyl has light scuffing throughout, resulting in some surface noise. Labels have very faint spindle marks.

Jacket is VG : Jacket has much ringwear / scuffing. There is wear to seams and more notably to corners. Back cover has a good bit of discoloration from age + a few spots of discoloration. Please note, I grade conservatively and by the Goldmine standard, here is what you can expect.. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise.

Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.

The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. WITH ALL THIS SAID if you have a Crosley or other budget turntable that comes in a suitcase, there is a chance with this, and every record really, that the tone arm, being the weak little thing it is, might bounce off, this is not a sign of a deficient record, this is an issue with the turntable. If you encounter this problem a penny taped to the top of the head of your tone arm generally fixes that right up. This series of records is obviously insanely cool to add to your collection but also very fun to actually read along with!

If you don't want to dirty up the pages of your original comics you can also have these read to you while you follow along in a reprint such as a Marvel Masterworks or Omnibus collection. I've tried the latter and it fits just right, however the booming TURN THE PAGE narration will be off every other page. Please see pictures & let me know if you have any questions.
