Part 6/21 in: " Thanos: The Final Threat " by Jim Starlin. Eon the Cosmic Entity shows Captain Marvel a vision of the history of Titan - (Thanos' home world). In this vision, Eon explains that Chronos created Eon to wait for the time when Thanos acquires the Cosmic Cube. Mar-Vell defeats his inner demons and is granted " Cosmic Awareness " by Eon. His costume also changes, and his hair transforms from white to gold.

Eon designates Mar-Vell as: " Protector of the Universe ". This iconic cover has been used in Marvel Comics marketing campaigns since the 70's.

A few examples: 7/11 cup from 1975 taken directly from this cover and Series "A" Marvel Value Stamp #9 from 1974. I was going to send this in for a possible grade bump with a press and clean. This is very deserving of a 9.6. The corners and edges are razor sharp, just two tiny spine ticks, hairline color break on front top, and the back cover seen at an angle shows waviness that will definitely press out.
